The 9th International Banking Forum was held.

On November 19, 2025, the 9th International Banking Forum titled “Reliable, Secure and Sustainable Banking” was held, organized by the Azerbaijan Banks Association and the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and with the global partnership of the international payment system Mastercard.

The Forum was attended by representatives of government institutions, the Central Bank, commercial banks, state and private companies, reputable international financial organizations, diplomatic missions, as well as business associations, including the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan–Türkiye Business Association, Mürsəl Rüstəmov.

At the opening panel, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vüsal Xəlilov, Chairman of the Board of the Banks Association of Türkiye Alpaslan Çakar, Executive Vice President of the Polish Bank Association Włodzimierz Kiciński, as well as Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vüsal Qasımlı shared their views on transformation, innovation, and sustainability in regional banking.

Within the framework of the panel, Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) Fərid Osmanov and President of the Azerbaijan Banks Association Zakir Nuriyev spoke about the role of digital solutions in the banking ecosystem, ecosystem expansion, and the improvement of regulatory approaches. The panel also featured a detailed presentation by Kutay Akın, representing Mastercard, on the impact of global payment trends on regional banking and emerging new opportunities.

Serving as a broad platform for discussions on issues such as a cashless economy, breakthrough trends in digital transformation, financial technologies, and digital banking solutions, the Forum lasted for two days (November 19–20).
