Azerbaijan-Turkiye Business Association (ATBA) started its activities in April 2004 as the legal successor of the Turkish Businessmen's Association, which was founded in 2002. ATBA, which had 38 members in the first period, today unites about 90 Turkish and Azerbaijani companies operating in Azerbaijan, and this number is increasing day by day.
During our 20 years of activity, we have promoted the businesses of our members, who are representatives of two brother countries, without discrimination, creating equal opportunities, and tried to be a bridge between them, the government and civil society, and support the social, cultural and economic development of both countries.
The goal of ATBA is to increase the level of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the non-oil sector, to ensure sustainable economic development, and to realize a healthier and safer future for the generations after us. However, we do not consider our mission to be finished with activities in the field of developing economic relations between our states, we also consider it our duty to contribute to the solution of the common problems of the two brotherly countries and to increase their prestige in the region and in the world.
Following the political line pursued by the leaders of both countries in the field of improving the business environment, free entrepreneurship and economic development, ATBA brings together its members and experts, state and non-governmental organizations, politicians, scientists, representatives of the public and the business world, in short, representatives of various layers of society. by bringing together, it tries to mediate the identification of problems that hinder the prosperity of the region and the development of solutions to overcome these problems. In this process, ATBA acts as the voice of its member companies and defends their interests.
At the time of establishment, ATBA declared its mission to develop partnership between its members and the governments and civil societies of both countries. For this purpose, meetings have been held in bilateral and multilateral format with a number of non-governmental organizations and other civil society institutions of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and even Northern Cyprus, and partnership agreements have been reached with some of them officially and unofficially with others.
Adhering to the mission, values and traditions of ATBA in the future, we are determined to develop the Association in accordance with the changed and constantly changing trends of the regional order, to protect and increase its reputation, and to protect the trust and confidence of our members.
