On July 15, a ceremony was held at the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan to commemorate the 9th anniversary of July 15 – Democracy and National Unity Day.

The event was attended by Turkish Ambassador Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Representative of the TRNC Ufuk Turqaner, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov, members of the National Assembly, NGO representatives, Turkish businessmen, and members of the public. A delegation led by ATIB Chairman Mürsəl Rüstəmov also took part.

During the speeches, the heroism of the martyrs of July 15 and the importance of national unity and democracy were emphasized. President Ilham Aliyev’s support at the time was specially mentioned. The event concluded with a cultural performance by Maarif Foundation students.
