On July 15, an event titled “Our Will, Our Victory” was held at the Azerbaijan Independence Museum, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan to mark the 10th anniversary of Democracy and National Unity Day.

On July 15, an event titled “Our Will, Our Victory” was held at the Azerbaijan Independence Museum, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan to mark the 10th anniversary of Democracy and National Unity Day.

The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Head of the Representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan Ufuk Turganer, members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, representatives of non-governmental organizations, Turkish businesspeople operating in Azerbaijan, and members of the public, including Alper Yaycılı, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association, Board Member Muhterem Öz, and Association members Cemal Yangın, Barış Altıparmak, Toğrul İbrahimov, and Nazan Akkoyun.

In their speeches, Ambassador Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün and Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Interparliamentary Relations Working Group Əhliman Amiraslanov noted that the heroes of July 15 had once again proven, at the cost of their lives, that the Turkish nation would never give up its freedom, unity, and equality. The speakers also emphasized the importance of the strong support extended by the President of Azerbaijan to the Turkish people and government during the treacherous coup attempt.

A video address by Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Communications Directorate of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, was shown at the event. This was followed by a presentation by Professor Zakir Avşar of Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University.

Video footage related to the coup attempt that took place in Türkiye was subsequently shown.

At the end of the event, prayers were recited for the souls of the martyrs, and participants visited the exhibition dedicated to the occasion.
