On June 1, the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATIB), Asterias Training and Development Center, and the "Fight Against Leukemia" Public Union jointly organized a charity exhibition entitled "Unity Fair."
Held for the second consecutive year on the occasion of International Children's Day, the exhibition aimed to support children battling leukemia, raise public awareness of the issue, and promote the spirit of solidarity. The event featured 145 paintings created by students from various educational institutions.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of parliament, public figures, representatives of government and non-governmental organizations, business leaders, representatives of academic and educational institutions, as well as members of the media.
Opening remarks were delivered by Nargiz Chalbay, Founder of the Asterias Training and Development Center; Mursel Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of ATIB; Hijran Huseynova, Chair of the Family, Women and Children's Affairs Committee of the Milli Majlis; Arif Huseynov, People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Fazil Mustafa, Chair of the Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations of the Milli Majlis; Parviz Safarov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Social Services Agency; Elnar Mammadli, Head of the International Relations Department of Azerbaijan Television; Mehriban Baghirova, Chairperson of the "Fight Against Leukemia" Public Union; and Matthew Bryza, Member of the Board of the Jamestown Foundation, former United States Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and international expert, who joined the event online, along with other speakers. They emphasized that initiatives of this kind provide not only financial assistance but also invaluable moral support and help build bridges of compassion and hope.
Following the opening ceremony, the artworks were offered for sale both at the exhibition stand and through a charity auction.
ATIB member companies Bureau 19 LLC and Tonuby Group LLC also joined and supported this charitable initiative.
The proceeds raised from the charity exhibition and fair will be directed toward the treatment of children battling leukemia and improving their well-being.
