On November 2, 2025, at the Border Guard Sports Complex, a Kyokushin karate tournament dedicated to Victory Day was held among children, teenagers, and youth. The event was jointly organized by the Baku City Youth and Sports Department, the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, the “KWU-WFKF” Union of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation, KWF Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association (ATIB), with sponsorship from ATIB member companies “Sirab,” “Coca-Cola Azerbaijan,” “Qarabağ Aqro 44,” “Köşebaşı,” “Altay Catering,” and “TonuBy,” and media support from “Biznes TV.”

 

The opening ceremony was attended by ATIB Board Member Rafiq Garayev; Vice President of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation (AKF) and Honorary President of the “KWU-WFKF” Union Fuzuli Musayev; AKF Secretary General and official representative of “WFKF and KWU-SENSHI” in Azerbaijan Gabil Sayadov; KWF Azerbaijan representative Rza Mustafayev; Assistant to the AKF President Vusal Abdullazade; AKF board members and committee chairpersons Hamdiyya Mammadov and Ahmed Efendi; federation officials, veterans of the Karabakh War, and sports figures.

 

The competition, organized within the framework of social responsibility initiatives of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association and involving 250 children and teenagers, aimed to develop and promote Kyokushin karate among youth, foster patriotism, and strengthen friendly relations among athletes.

 

At the end of the tournament, the winners were awarded cups and medals.
