On January 8, 2025, a meeting was held at the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATBA) office with the representatives of the Republic Committee of Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union (AEWFTU).
The AEWFTU Republic Committee was represented by its Chairman Araz Pashayev, Vice-Chairman Turana Karimova, and employee Aygul Baghirova. They were welcomed by Mursal Rustamov, the Chairman of the Executive Board of ATBA.
During the meeting, the activities, completed work, and future goals of the Republic Committee of AEWFTU were discussed. Araz Pashayev stated that the Committee aims to include not only employees of state educational institutions but also those working in the private sector within its ranks. He emphasized that cooperation with the members of the ATBA would be beneficial in achieving this goal.
Mursal Rustamov, Chairman of the Executive Board of ATBA, highlighted that since its establishment, Association has been working to contribute to the development of education, science, and other social sectors in Azerbaijan as part of its social responsibility. He expressed that ATBA is always open to cooperation in these fields.
At the end of the meeting, the parties decided to sign a Cooperation Memorandum after discussing issues of mutual interest.
