On May 19, under the joint organization of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association and the Niğde Chamber of Commerce and Industry, bilateral business meetings (B2B) were held between Turkish businessmen from Niğde engaged in various sectors and Azerbaijani businessmen.
The event was attended by Mürsəl Rüstəmov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Businessmen Association, Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Member of Parliament Azər Əmiraslanov, Chairman of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the National Assembly, Committee member Vüqar Bayramov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency Samir Hümbətov, Head of the Representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan Ufuk Turqaner, Chairman of the Board of Niğde Chamber of Commerce and Industry Şefket Katırcıoğlu and Chairman of the Assembly Serdar Ecemiş.
Speakers in the opening speeches talked about the policies implemented by the leaders of the two countries to expand economic and trade relations within the framework of the strategic partnership between Turkey and Azerbaijan, and the work done to date in this area, emphasizing the importance of bilateral business meetings between entrepreneurs.
Additionally, Şefket Katırcıoğlu gave a detailed presentation about the purposes, operational directions, and international cooperation strategy of the Chamber he leads.
At the end of the opening ceremony, a commemorative gift was presented on behalf of the Niğde Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Later, Əbülfəz Ağayev from the Development Agency of Economic Zones provided information on the operations of industrial zones and agro-parks, as well as incentives offered to foreign investors.
Within the event framework, bilateral meetings were held between businessmen from various sectors to explore cooperation opportunities, and discussions were held on issues of mutual interest.
