CASCFEN, with support from Azerbaijan’s NGO Support Agency, held the final event of the project “The Turkic World: From Common Heritage to Common Future.”

On September 17, 2025, the final event of the project "The Turkic World: From Common Heritage to Common Future" was held by the “Central Asia and South Caucasus Freedom of Expression Network” (CASCFEN) Public Union with the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by Member of Parliament and member of the Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Affairs, Honored Journalist Elchin Mirzabeyli; Member of Parliament and member of the Azerbaijan–Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Interparliamentary Working Group Vugar Iskandarov; Press Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan Cihangir Isbilir; Advisor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan Yedil Mirzakhanov; Head of the Representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan Ufuk Turkaner; President of the Youth Aid Fund Ahmet Tecim; public figures, media representatives, and Board Member of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATIB) Rafiq Garayev.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of the project in transferring the common heritage of the Turkic world from the present to the future.

Following the speeches, plaques and certificates of appreciation were presented to individuals who supported the project. Additionally, winners of the essay competition titled “Our Family is the Turkic World,” held among Turkic world students studying at Turkish universities, were awarded.

The event concluded with the signing of a cooperation protocol between CASCFEN and the İzmir Azerbaijan Association.
