On January 10, 2025, an event was held for the implementation of the “Karabakh SMEs Project” in 2024, organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, the Development Corporation, and the National Education Technology Center, with the financial support of “Pasha Holding” LLC.
Representatives of relevant government agencies, businessmen, and business associations, including the delegation headed by Mursal Rustamov, the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association, as well as war participants, veterans, and members of martyrs’ families, attended the event.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Sahil Babayev, spoke about the wide social support package implemented for martyrs' families and war participants after the Patriotic War. He emphasized the importance of the “Karabakh SMEs Project” in supporting the employment of martyrs' families, war veterans, and their family members.
Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, noted that the “Karabakh SMEs Project” is part of the attention and support provided to the participants of the Patriotic War in Azerbaijan. He mentioned that the project, aimed at improving the social welfare and employment of veterans, war participants, and their families, as well as martyrs' families, was launched in 2023. It was reported that in 2024, 70 SMEs would be created, and in total, 120 SMEs will be established under the project. It was also noted that the “Karabakh SMEs Project” is expected to continue in 2025.
Additionally, Aynur Mammadova, a family member of a Patriotic War participant involved in the “Karabakh SMEs Project,” and Dayanat Sadullayev, Head of the Apparatus of “PAŞA Holding” LLC, shared their impressions of the project.
