On October 2, 2025, Hakan Kalender, Agriculture Counselor, and Fatih Bilal Alodalı, Labor and Social Affairs Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan, visited the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Businessmen Association (ATIB).
At the ATIB office, the guests were welcomed by ATIB Chairman of the Board Mursel Rustamov, Board Members Rafiq Garayev, Rufat Aliyev, Seymur Bunyatov, and ATIB member Eyyub Javanshir.
Hakan Kalender, who announced the end of his service term in Azerbaijan, spoke about the efforts made to develop cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, food security, water resources management, and sustainable development. He also highlighted his personal contributions in these areas during his time in Azerbaijan. He touched upon the prospects for further development of existing relations and expanding cooperation with international organizations, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness among investors from Türkiye and other countries about the favorable investment climate and business conditions in Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector.
Fatih Bilal Alodalı, Counselor for Labor and Social Affairs, noted that the two nations, sharing common national values and traditions, face similar challenges on their path to economic and social development. He positively assessed the growing experience exchange between the two countries in relevant fields in recent years.
ATIB Chairman Mursel Rustamov underlined that the organization consistently strives to contribute to the development of economic, trade, and socio-cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye. He also provided information on the challenges faced by member companies operating in agriculture and their objectives.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on future joint activities and actions to be taken to reach the goals set by the heads of state of the two countries.
At the end, a commemorative gift was presented to Hakan Kalender on behalf of ATIB.
