On January 17, 2025, the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATİB) and the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijani Education Workers (ATİAHİ) signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the ATİB Board Mursal Rustamov, ATİB Board Member and Coordinator of Anadolu University’s Azerbaijan Representation Araz Hatemzade, ATİB Board Member and Legal Manager of "Turan Legal and Tax Services" LLC Araz Ismayilov, Director of Evrika Lyceum Ofeliya Muradova, ATİAHİ Chairman Araz Pashayev, Vice-Chairmen Turana Karimova and Mirza Jafarzade, as well as local education workers and student union representatives.
The memorandum envisages ensuring effective cooperation in protecting the rights of employees in the education sector and promoting membership in the trade union. Employees working in educational institutions that are members of ATİB will be encouraged to join ATİAHİ, and joint efforts will be made to safeguard their labor rights.
Additionally, the memorandum ensures that relations between the parties remain on the agenda, continue to develop, and that other necessary issues are addressed through mutual cooperation.
