On June 13, the opening ceremony of the Cultural Days of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was held in Baku.

The event was attended by Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ünal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, Chairman of the Azerbaijan–Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Interparliamentary Relations Working Group of the Milli Majlis Javanşir Feyziyev, Chairwoman of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women and Children Hicran Huseynova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Head of the Representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan Ufuk Turganer, Chairman of the Board of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration Rufat Mahmud, embassy staff, Turkish businesspeople operating in Azerbaijan, representatives of academic and educational institutions and the public, as well as Mursel Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association, and Board Member Seymour Bunyatov.

The speakers noted that working groups operating in various fields between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus make a significant contribution to the development of cooperation, while the implementation of joint projects in culture and the arts serves to further strengthen relations.

The event continued with musical performances reflecting the art and national and spiritual values of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
