On June 5, the 22nd Traditional Charity Fair was held under the slogan "Be the Light for a Child's Tomorrow!", organized by the Youth Support Foundation.

The opening ceremony was attended by counsellors of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Azerbaijan, representatives of the public and the media, business leaders, as well as Mursel Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATIB).

Opening remarks were delivered by Salih Zeki Meriç, President of the Youth Support Foundation; Zöhre Akgün, wife of Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan; Ufuk Turganer, Head of the Representation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan; Dr. Gülnara Seyidova, Editor-in-Chief of Bizim Ailə magazine; and İhsan Açık, Religious Affairs Counsellor of Türkiye in Azerbaijan. In their speeches, they emphasized that the traditions of mutual assistance, good neighborliness, solidarity, and charity occupy an important place in the shared cultural heritage of the Turkish and Azerbaijani peoples. They also noted that initiatives of this kind contribute to strengthening the values of compassion, sharing, and social responsibility within society.

It should be noted that the proceeds from the charity fair will be used to cover the educational expenses of children deprived of parental care.
