On June 9–10, Baku hosted the two-day international event “International Finance and Banking Summit 2026: Global Financial Integration of the Turkic States.”

The Summit was organized with the support of the Council of Bank Associations of Turkic States, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the banking associations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye, the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, as well as other partner organizations.

The event brought together representatives of government institutions, banks and financial organizations, startups, international and multilateral organizations, industry and professional associations, including Mursel Rustamov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Business Association (ATIB), as well as international experts and media representatives.

As part of the Summit, high-level discussions, panel sessions, and B2B meetings were held.

The discussions covered a wide range of topics, including regional financial integration, digital transformation in banking, payment and settlement systems, open banking and API ecosystems, artificial intelligence-driven financial solutions, cybersecurity, AML/CFT, alternative banking (including Islamic finance), sustainable finance, investment opportunities, and financial literacy.

The primary objective of the Summit was to strengthen financial cooperation among the Turkic states, promote regulatory harmonization, advance the integration of payment systems, and contribute to the development of a shared financial vision.
