On February 12, 2026, the regular business breakfast of the Azerbaijan–Turkey Businessmen’s Union (ATIB) was held.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan Prof. Dr. Birol Akgun, member of the Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Milli Majlis Ziyad Samadzade, member of the Committee on Public Associations and Religious Institutions of the Milli Majlis Azay Guliyev, Head of the Representative Office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan Ufuk Turqaner, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) Samir Humbatov, Deputy Head of the State Labour Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Narmin Mirzayeva, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Ramal Guluzade, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Observatory on Labour Market and Social Protection Issues Elchin Suleymanov, Vice President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Vugar Zeynalov, Deputy Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) Talgat Aduov, representatives of the Turkish Embassy, businesspeople, including ATIB members.
In his opening speech, the Chairman of the ATIB Board spoke about the reforms carried out to strengthen the private sector in the country and noted that the recent extension of the suspension period of inspections in the field of entrepreneurship until January 1, 2027 is a clear manifestation of the support and care of the President and the government for the development of the business sector.
Later, Ambassador Birol Akgun, Ufuk Turqaner, Ziyad Samadzade, Azay Guliyev and Samir Humbatov emphasized the importance of public-private dialogue in solving the problems faced by entrepreneurs, as well as the role of civil society institutions and business associations in developing economic relations between the two countries, noting that they highly appreciate the work carried out by ATIB in this direction.
Afterwards, presentations were delivered by the companies that recently joined the Union: “AYTA LTD” LLC, “PwC Azerbaijan”, and “Upgrade Solutions” LLC.
Membership plaques were presented to the new members who delivered the presentations.
